Sean Lattanzi is a Featured Writer for Drug Law Journal. An accomplished and skilled pharmacological professional, Sean has an acute and well-honed understanding of the research and scientific study that goes into each and every drug and device approval submitted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Alongside of his career in pharmacology, Sean is also a commissioned officer in the Washington State National Guard where he proudly serves as the medical officer for his unit.
It is this combination of scientific, professional and military experience that makes Sean such an outstanding featured writer for Drug Law Journal. His innate and well-trained understanding of the biochemistry and mechanisms underpinning the drugs and devices he writes about, dovetail with his steadfast commitment to protecting his patients – and especially the veterans and military servicemen and women with whom he serves every day.
“Servicemen and women are trained to do their duty, without question, to protect our country. It is therefore discouraging that sometimes they are the first to suffer when a new drug or medical device is found to cause harm. My work for Drug Law Journal is a first step to making sure they are armed with information about their injuries and their rights. That’s very important to me.”
Sean has written for Drug Law Journal about the claims of sufferers stemming from Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filter defects. Additionally, he has focused his training to write articles detailing efforts in the fight to stop the spread and illness from Covid-19.
An avid sportsman and hiker, Sean is a native to the Pacific Northwest. He has both his doctor of pharmacy and his bachelor’s degree in medical sciences from the Washington State University.
